Thursday, April 12 and Friday, April 13
The expo is a two-day event of learning and networking around energy issues at the global, national and local level. The aim to discuss a broad range of subjects like emerging technologies, societal consequences of our energy choices, and energy's role in contributing to a more sustainable world.
The first day is a screening of the documentary "Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution", followed by a panel focused on sustainability initiatives going on in Atlanta and networking.
The next day is a series of panels around energy, and of particular interest to HSOC students is the keynote, Nathaniel Smith of the Partnership for Southern Equity. I have seen him speak before, and he is absolutely brilliant. Because the Southeast has the largest energy burden in the country, PSE started the Just Energy Circle to work on issues around energy equity.
