Join the Center for International Strategy, Technology, and Policy and the Strategic Energy Institute for a talk and open discussion with John Cheek. Mr. Cheek is currently the Geoscience Region Manager for Europe, Russia and Caspian within ExxonMobil Production Company. John has been with ExxonMobil for the past 24 years and has traveled extensively across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Previous assignments include Kurdistan Exploration Manager, Region Exploration Manager for Africa, Angola Exploration Project Manager, among others. John is currently based in Houston, previous assignments have been based in London, New Orleans, and Midland, TX.

He has BS degrees in Geology and Computer Studies from Millsaps College and a MS in Geology from Duke University. John and his wife Ann have two sons, ages 14 and 16. Outside of work John enjoys most any outdoor activity with his family including adult leadership in his sons’ Boy Scout troop.
