Georgia Tech is preparing to replace its core financial systems with Workday. This transition will allow the Institute to leverage modern systems and more efficient processes as we create the next financial system platform for the Institute.

The Workday solution delivers out-of-the-box functionality that is configurable to meet our campus-wide requirements.A phased approach is being used to support the Workday implementation:

  • Plan
  • Architect
  • Configure & Prototype
  • Test
  • Deploy.

These phases are iterative and allow us to refine, define, and fine-tune the application. The project team has recently completed the Plan phase which defines scope and approach and is officially kicking off the Architect phase with a 1/2 day session on Monday, March 12. During this phase, the team will work collaboratively with campus users todefine Workday's core data structures and set the foundation for the new application.

The kick-off session will provide an overview of the work to be completed during the Architect phase and the role that analysts (representatives from campus units) will play in supporting this effort.
