Abstract of Talk: This presentation will provide an overview of Eastman Chemical Company. It will cover who we are, the everyday products that we are involved with, where we are located, and what an electrical engineer can expect in a chemical company.
Biographical Sketch of the Speaker(s):
Wes Williams - I’m a 2004 Graduate of the University of Tennessee with a BS in Electrical Engineering. After graduating, I worked for two EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) firms in Knoxville, TN (CH2M Hill and Barge Waggoner Sumner and Cannon) prior to starting with Eastman in 2015 as a Senior Electrical Engineer. I’m a registered Professional Engineer and I currently hold licenses in ten states: AL, GA, KY, MA, NC, PA, SC, TN, VA, and WV.
Emily Caldwell - I’m a 2015 Graduate from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Electrical Engineering. In addition to my engineering degree I hold a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from East Tennessee State University. I began my engineering career with Eastman in 2013 where I completed two summer internships. Then, after graduating from UT I hired on as a full-time entry level engineer and have recently been promoted to Engineer level II.
