To all College of Computing 2010 Freshmen:

We are so excited that you soon will be on campus! We cannot wait to get to know you better! To help us kick off the 2010-2011 school year and to welcome you to the College of Computing, I would like to invite you to Boot Up 2010 and a day at Six Flags on behalf of theOffice of Outreach, Enrollment and Community. Both of these events will give you the opportunity to meet your peers, your Mentors, upperclassmen, faculty and staff that will be supporting you throughout your College of Computing career. Both events are free for you to attend, all you have to do is RSVP using the two links below. The events are not required; however, we highly encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities. Event descriptions are also included below.

Boot Up

  • Friday, August 20th in the Klaus Advanced Computing Building Atrium and Room 1116 from 9am-3pm
  • Registration will begin at 8:30am
  • Breakfast and lunch will be served

Six Flags

  • Saturday, August 21st
  • Shuttles will transport students to and from Six Flags
  • Shuttles will pick up at the Klaus Advanced Computing Shuttle Stop to go to Six Flags at 9am, 9:45am, 10:30am and 11:15am
  • Shuttles will pick up in the bus loop at Six Flags to return to GT at 6:30pm, 7:15pm, 8pm and 8:45pm
  • Students may pick up their Six Flags Tickets and Shuttle Departure Vouchers on Friday, August 20th from 3-4pm in the Klaus Atrium
  • Shuttle vouchers are given out on a first come, first served basis
  • Students will also have the option to drive to the park
  • Students will be responsible for their own meals at the park
