Congratulations to Jonah Bea-Taylor, who has successfully defended his doctoral dissertation, “Flood Control and Metropolitan Development in Houston, Miami, and Tampa, 1935 - 1985.” Bea-Taylor will receive his doctorate in early May and continue in his position as a research historian with the History Office of the Army Corps of Engineers.

Thanks to Professors Amsterdam, Flamming, and Krige, who served on his reading committee, along with Professor Jenny Smith (formerly of HSOC, now with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology) and John Lonnquest, head of the History Office of the Army Corps of Engineers.
