The droids of Star Wars might be more realistic than people think

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. We may finally have an answer to the question on everyone's mind: Could R2-D2, C-3PO, and BB-8 exist in real life? The iconic droids of Star Wars are put to the test by School of Physics' Dan Goldman and Yasemin Ozkan Aydin. The verdict? BB-8 would never be able to move on sand.
