Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

We are happy to announce our 13th international symposium on Biomechanics in Vascular Biology and Cardiovascular Disease, which will be held in Atlanta, USA, on April 12-13 2018.
Over the years the symposium was successful in bridging the gap between biomechanics, vascular biology and clinical research.
Also this year, the scientific program of the symposium will cover many aspects of vascular biology and clinical research related to biomechanics. Over the last 10 years we covered many topics like mechanosensation, shear stress-induced signaling, inflammation & hemostasis, devices, vulnerable plaques, and aneurysms. To meet our goal, for each session our vision was always to bring together two internationally renowned scientists, one with a technical and one with a biological/ clinical background. Also this year we will apply that fruitful strategy. The oral sessions will be complemented with a selection from submitted abstracts. Furthermore, a poster session will be organized and there will be a Young Investigators Award. Owing to the enthusiastic reactions previous years, the symposium will start with a 'How to' session, discussing the basics of biology and technical issues.
We hope to welcome you to Atlanta in 2018 for an inspiring 13th symposium on Biomechanics in Vascular Biology and Cardiovascular Disease.
