There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The Opportunity Research Scholars (ORS) Haiti Relay Team has been awarded a Georgia Tech Student Foundation (GTSF) award to support their project to install solar power devices for Haitians living in the rural area of Thoman, Haiti. The devices will provide reliable sources of power to Haitians currently living without. A check for $3955.61 will be presented to the team at a ceremony during the March 1 men's basketball game against North Carolina State. The award will cover materials and supplies needed to build 25 devices that will be installed in May of 2018.
