Pet therapy is being offered at Georgia Tech to assist students, faculty, and staff in reduce stress and anxiety. You may have seen pet therapy on campus before around finals. However, since stress and anxiety are issues all year round, Health Initiatives is offering this program multiple times throughout each semester

Research shows that pet therapy can help:

  • Provide a sense of comfort, confidence, and companionship

  • Reduced feelings of loneliness

  • Reduce blood pressure

  • Improve immunity

  • Decrease stress
