On Febraury 14, DILAC celebrated Frederick Douglass's 200th birthday by transcribing the Freedmen's Bureau Papers. This was a collaborative effort through ColoredConventions.org with the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Smithsonian Transcription Center, and the Colored Conventions Project.
Students, faculty, and staff dropped in to transcribe, enjoy live lectures and performances from three locations, and eat cake.
