There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

In this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of public speaking including how to capture and maintain audience attention and deliver speeches that create a positive and lasting impression. Your facilitator will focus on content and delivery strategies that are specific to the oral portion of any presentation situation, and will also discuss techniques like projection, inflection, vocal emphasis, and non-verbal signals. There will be a question and answer segment following the presentation. As a result of attending this workshop you will understand how to plan and execute the oral and non-verbal elements of a presentation. Please contact Peter Fontaine (peter.fontaine@lmc.gatech.edu) if you need more information. *This workshop is directed towards graduate students. Postdocs are welcome as walk-ins as space allows.
