Summary Sentence: Graduate Communication Certificate workshop on Public Speaking

Full Summary: This 90-minute Graduate Communication workshop is for Georgia Tech graduate students who wish to complete part of their requirements for the GradComm Certificate program. One of our professional tutors from the Communication Center will conduct this workshop in Clough 447. In this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of public speaking including how to capture and maintain audience attention and deliver speeches that create a positive and lasting impression. Your facilitator will focus on content and delivery strategies that are specific to the oral portion of any presentation situation, and will also discuss techniques like projection, inflection, vocal emphasis, and non-verbal signals. There will be a question and answer segment following the presentation. As a result of attending this workshop you will understand how to plan and execute the oral and non-verbal elements of a presentation.
