Dr. Adrienne Brown is an assistant professor of English at the University of Chicago.  She is the author of "The Black Skyscraper : Architecture and the Perception of Race" and coeditor of "Race and Real Estate." 

Brown's lecture is part of the Necessary Tomorrows: Afrofuturism and Design series. Brown will discuss her publications and, more extensively, she will address the larger question of race and real estate, particularly in regards to gentrification and its affect on vulnerable populations.
