If you’ve held a leadership position before, and want to work on your leadership skills while helping incoming Tech students, you should consider applying to be part of this summer’s FASET staff.
FASET staff applications are open now through Wednesday, Feb. 14. The primary role of a FASET leader is to provide guidance to incoming students and assist in the facilitation of Summer Orientation events and activities. Leaders will welcome new students, share their Tech expertise and advice, participate in the logistics of orientation events, assist students with registration, facilitate group discussions, and answer questions from students and parents.
Two information sessions will take place this week for students to learn more: Thursday, Feb. 8, at 7:15 p.m. in Room 125, Clough Commons; and Friday, Feb. 9, at 2:15 p.m. in Room 131, Clough Commons. Students can learn what it means to be part of FASET staff, what qualities applicants should possess, and what the summer schedule looks like. Former FASET staff will also be tabling on Tech Walkway from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday.
Learn more about FASET staff responsibilities here and through a FASET interest Facebook group. Apply online at tinyurl.com/faset2018apps.
