The Black Doctoral Network Conference is inviting abstract submissions for the 2018 conference themed "Theory, Knowledge, and Practice." This year's conference addresses the (im)possibilities of connecting applied and academic research, the gaps among intellectualism, political consciousness, and activism, as well as potentials of academic work to have positive transformative effects on society.
Papers that will reflect on the theme are especially encouraged, but any submissions on any topic are accepted. The conference will be an interdisciplinary event that brings together academics and professionals from the social sciences, STEM, and humanities to address these issues. Submission of abstracts from graduate and doctoral students, recent PhD graduates, and academic professionals across all disciplines are welcome.
Submission Deadline: Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 11:59 PM EST
To submit an abstract, visit: blackphdnetwork.submittable.com/submit
