There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Sustainability leaders from greater Atlanta's higher education institutions, together with stakeholders from the education, business, nonprofit, community, and government sectors, have applied to establish a Greater Atlanta United Nations University Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCE). RCEs commit to implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals at the regional and local level. With six RCEs in the U.S. and 156 around the world, there are many benefits to supporting collaboration at home, as part of a global movement.
This effort is currently being led by the Georgia Institute of Technology, Emory University, and Spelman College, in collaboration with Agnes Scott College, Clark Atlanta University, Georgia State University, Kennesaw State University, Morehouse College, and University of Georgia. We are just at the beginning stages and are eager to engage more institutions, organizations, and groups.
More general information on the RCE can be found here: https://serve-learn-sustain.gatech.edu/greater-atlanta-un-rce.
