2018-2019 Undergraduate Research Ambassador Applications

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Interested in being an Undergraduate Research Ambassador? Applications are now open for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Guidelines, Duties and Eligibility

  • Applicant must be an undergraduate student in good standing (GPA > 2.0).

  • Applicant must be actively conducting research with a Georgia Tech faculty member, Emory faculty member or GTRI research scientist.

  • Applicant must be able to attend monthly meetings.

  • Applicant will help to develop and lead programming during the semester.

  • Applicant will work with the UROP office on research related events and programs throughout the semester.

  • Applicant must be able to commit to a one year term based on the academic calendar (Fall-Summer).

How to Apply

Students can apply for a Undergraduate Research Ambassador position through our online application form here. The two major components of the application are the resume of the applicant and the letter of recommendation from a faculty member.  Ideally this person would be your faculty mentor.
