SDIE Transformative Narrative FlyerIn honor of Black History Month, Oba William King, known as “The Poetic Storyteller,” and five extraordinary storytellers present a soulful slate of eight personal stories – some accompanied by drums and other musical instruments. Features a talk on the rich heritage of African-American storytelling and the four story types related to race and racism in America. Also includes a special performance by GIWAYEN MATA, a nationally renowned all-female dance, percussion, and vocal ensemble. Light refreshments will be served.
