There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. In honor of Black History Month, Oba William King, known as “The Poetic Storyteller,” and five extraordinary storytellers present a soulful slate of eight personal stories – some accompanied by drums and other musical instruments. Features a talk on the rich heritage of African-American storytelling and the four story types related to race and racism in America. Also includes a special performance by GIWAYEN MATA, a nationally renowned all-female dance, percussion, and vocal ensemble. Light refreshments will be served.
