The K-12 InVenture Prize competition is the qualifying event to represent the state of Georgia at the National Invention Convention & Entrepreneurship Expo (NICEE). In 2017, the top-nine teams competed at NICEE and took home top honors.

The K-12 InVenture Prize was piloted in 2012, stemming from the passion and dedication of two high school teachers. Today, more than 2,000 students take part in the program each year throughout Georgia.

Top teams from each school earn a spot in the K-12 InVenture Prize State Finals hosted at Georgia Tech.

The K-12 InVenture Prize challenges students to identify real-world problems and design novel solutions through careful analysis, creativity, and the scientific method. It aims to broaden participation in STEM by bringing authentic invention and entrepreneurship experiences to K-12 teachers and students.
