Shamecia Powers, administrative manager in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, and Fariah Majumandar, administrative manager in the School of Modern Languages, completed the 2017 Inclusive Leadership Academy, a professional leadership and legacy development program for managers at Georgia Institute of Technology.
Congratulations to Powers and Majumandar, who were two out of 87 champions across campus to complete the program and receive a certificate.
The Inclusive Leaders Academy is open to managers at Georgia Tech. Eligibility to apply is based on holding a supervisory role in a campus unit; successfully or partially completing a qualifying existing campus leadership development program; and serving in a leadership role in an Employee Resource Group, Diversity Council, Staff Council, or approved campus network. To complete the program, participants must finish the required core curriculum, a minimum of two wisdom labs, at least one-hour coaching session, and attend the closing ceremony in the fall.
The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs and the School of Modern Languages are units in the Georgia Tech Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts.
For more information on the program, visit the Inclusive Leaders Academy webpage.
