Dr. Jürgen P. Kropp, Deputy Chair of Research Domain II – Climate Impacts and the Vulnerabilities at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research

Dr. Jürgen P. Kropp serves as the Deputy Chair of Research Domain II - Climate Impacts and Vulnerabilities at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. He focuses on the impacts of climate change, esp. on coastal areas, inter sectoral synergies and tradeoffs of climate protection and the climate consequences of lifestyle choices. He has advised German legislators and regulators on climate policy. Currently at COP23 in Bonn, he is presenting at side events on “Addressing shared challenges of climate change. Providing climate knowledge to support societal innovation and transformation” and “Low carbon Europe 2050 - The vision and beyond”.
