PSY-COGS (Psychology Committee of Graduate Students) was created in Fall 2016. After Student Government Association's first school wide survey of graduate students, Thom Gable formed a committee to make positive changes for graduate students here in psychology. Together with Shivangi Jain and several others, this group mainly focused on creating social events and attempted to better foster a sense of community here in the School of Psychology. Students have continued this group, building and extending previous efforts, to better the graduate student experience. PSY-COGS works closely with the Graduate Coordinator, Paul Verhaegen, to improve the School of Psychology. They are currently in the process of becoming an official organization recognized by Georgia Tech's Office of Student Engagement.
