Sweetwater CreekJoin Trailblazers on Sunday, November 12, as we clean up along the water at Sweetwater Creek. After serving, we will go kayaking and hiking a little bit on the trails. We can check out the Old Mill Ruins featured in Mocking jay as we walk one of the trails.
Please bring water, good walking shoes and a lunch.
Depending on preference in this form, we will either meet up in the parking lot across from the Instructional Center (the back end of the Student Center), or across from North Avenue Dining Hall in front of Smith Residence Hall at 8:15 a.m.
The first couple hours will be volunteering with the park for cleaning and maintenance, and following lunch, we can split into groups and perhaps swap out for kayaking and hiking!
I know there is a football game versus Virginia Tech on this Saturday. Please leave a comment if you would like to be back in time for the game. As of now, there is no game time announced (fingers crossed for a night game). Otherwise, we will get back in the afternoon.
The cost of the trip will be $4 which includes the cost of snacks.
