On Sept. 23, President G.P. "Bud" Peterson announced the formation of four action teams of faculty, staff, students, and community leaders to conduct research, gain community input, and recommend a path forward in four broad categories.
The four categories are student mental health, including a focus on both counseling and psychiatric services; campus culture; LGBTQIA community support; and campus safety, which will be launched after the completion of the investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation of the Sept. 16 incident on campus.
Leaders from each action team (excluding campus safety) will share updates on their progress on Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 11 a.m. to noon in Room 152, Clough Commons. Each team will provide a brief overview of their work to date, solicit campus input, and answer questions.
The campus community is invited to attend this session, moderated by the undergraduate and graduate Student Government Association Presidents Sujay Peramanu and Skanda Prasad.
