ISyE Assistant Professor Alejandro TorielloGeorgia Tech’s Stewart School of Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISyE) announced that Associate Professor Alejandro Toriello has been appointed to the Leo and Louise Benatar Early Career Professorship.

Milton and Carolyn J. Stewart School Chair. “His appointment to the Leo and Louise Benatar Early Career Professorship will enable him to further advance in his career and impact his field.”
Toriello’s research interests lie in the theory and application of supply chain management, logistics and transportation, and in related optimization methodologies.
“I'm honored to receive an early career professorship, and thank the Benatars for their generous support of the Stewart School,” said Toriello. “The Benatar professorship will be instrumental in continuing and growing my research program over the coming years.”
Toriello received both his BSIE (2003) and his Ph.D. in industrial engineering (2010) from Georgia Tech.
Prior to joining ISyE in 2013, he served as an assistant professor in the Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Southern California.
