As you might have heard in the news, the catastrophic Hurricane Maria with sustained winds of 165 mph and gusts of up to 215 mph made landfall this past September 21st, leaving the island in total devastation. All major lines for communications and antennas have collapsed and the overall infrastructure is heavily damaged, and as a result most of the island has no power and communications are limited.

Students all over the country have established donation campaigns to alleviate Puerto Rico in its recovery process after the destruction caused by hurricane Maria.

Items to be collected:

  • hygiene essentials
  • non-perishable food
  • over-the-counter medicines
  • tools, batteries, etc.

The Georgia Tech campus has kindly offered the following recollection sites:

  • MoSe building-Main Office
  • MRDC 3112
  • IBB 1103
