This year’s Women and Girls in Georgia conference on Justice and Resistance will explore social movements, social control, social institutions, and grassroots resistance, especially as they involve and are engaged in by women and girls in our diverse, important state. The conference focuses on coalition-building, movements for justice, and feminist strategies to address the pressing challenges of our times.
The biennial Women and Girls Conference highlights feminist research and connects academics, advocates, activists, and community members from across the state and region in a collaborative and supportive conversation. The conference presents cutting-edge scholarship on its theme and embraces traditional and non-traditional presentations of research and scholarship, including reports from the field, performances, and exhibits. The conference provides opportunities for networking, building bridges, and linking theory and analysis to practice.
