There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. This session will shed light on some of the following issues: What kind of speech is and is not protected by the First Amendment? What laws and other considerations apply to speeches on campus, from students, faculty, or external people who are invited to speak or who are renting space on campus for an event? What does “free speech” mean for tenured and untenured academics at a state university? What should the Georgia Tech community know about the Open Records Act and how it applies to them?
