The School of Economics is hosting the 1st Annual STATA Bootcamp on September 18th, 20th, and 22nd from 8-11 a.m. in the computer lab in the basement of the Old CE Building. The event is open to undergraduate and graduate ECON majors but priority will be given to graduate students if we run out of space. The boot camp will cover three major areas of data analysis in STATA: (i) Data Management, (ii) Programming, and (iii) Creating Publication Quality Table and Figures.
Economists and analysts of all stripes are relying on data analysis more than ever. This boot camp will help students gain the skills to analyze large data sets in the software, STATA. This is the most common statistical software used among economists and is used in many classes at Georgia Tech including Probability and Statistics for Economists and Econometrics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
