In light of this year’s theme, “Immigration Examined: DACA’s Impact on Students and Higher Education,” the Hispanic Heritage Month Panel will feature a discussion about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and its impact on students and higher education in addition to other immigration topics. Moderated by Juan Carlos Rodríguez, associate professor of Spanish, Georgia Tech’s School of Modern Languages, panelists include Valentina Gonzalez, undergraduate student, Dartmouth College; David Schaefer, managing director of advocacy, Latin American Association; Emiko Soltis, executive director, Freedom University; and Yonatan Weinberg, undergraduate student, School of History and Sociology and DACA Advisory Board Chairperson, SGA, Georgia Tech.
Cuban sandwiches and refreshments will be served.
