There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Thanks to the internet, you can find virtually anything you need. Copyright law affords you some safe spaces to use others’ work without permission. However, simply accessing others’ work -- no matter a photo, article, blog post, or short video -- does not mean you can use them freely. In this class, you will learn how to use copyrighted materials without infringement and best practices in obtaining and using materials online.
