VOICE, Georgia Tech's sexual and relationship violence prevention and response initiative in Health Promotion is now accepting applications for the fifth cohort of VOICE Peer Educators! The deadline to apply is Sunday, September 10 at 11:59 pm.
VOICE Peer Educators complete a semester of training to prepare them to be leaders on campus in educating their peers about topics such as defining consent, sexual violence prevention and bystander intervention, healthy relationships, and survivor support. The Peer Education Program looks for diverse and dedicated students who are interested in creating a safe and equitable environment for all members of the Georgia Tech Community.
Strong candidates for the Peer Education Program will have some baseline knowledge of the issue of sexual violence on college campuses, as well as public speaking skills. Students should be prepared to dedicate 3-5 hours per week throughout the 2017-2018 academic year, and ideally will plan to continue participation into fall 2018.
