John Krige, Kranzberg Professor in the School of History and Sociology at Georgia Tech, has been appointed a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Green College, University of British Columbia, Vancouver British Columbia, Canada. Krige kicked off the College’s The Arts and Sciences of Living Now 2017 - 2018 lecture series on September 10, 2017, with a talk entitled: “In Praise of the Ivory Tower. In Defense of Free Inquiry in Our Universities.”
