Being a new student is hard for anyone, but being a new international student can be even tougher. One group on campus aims to ease the transition for Tech’s international student population and is accepting applications for this year.
The International Ambassadors at Georgia Tech are dedicated to bringing Georgia Tech to the world and the world to Georgia Tech. The group, advised by the Office of International Education and Office of Undergraduate Admission, seeks to promote diversity and inclusion on campus.
Some of the group’s previous events have included Night Market, Karaoke Nights, Career Forums, and Diversity Forums. International Ambassadors also reach out to prospective and admitted international students and help answer their questions about life at Tech.
Potential ambassadors need not be international students to apply — the group is made up of students from all over the U.S. and the world, and values that diversity. Applications are due Friday, Sept. 8, at 11:59 p.m. Apply online.
For more information, visit the group's Facebook page or read an article from Fall 2016.
