The Office of Campus Sustainability will partner with Starter Bikes on September 16 to host a bike ride + sustainability tour of campus. The ride begins at 10:00 a.m., and leaves from the Student Center visitor parking lot. This event will include highlighting the bike paths on campus, information about bike safety, and education on basic bike maintenance. Come check out Georgia Tech’s thriving bike culture!

Bring your own bike and a water bottle. This event highlights the Health + Happiness Petal, as biking is a sustainable transportation method that contributes to physical health. Register here.

The Living Building Challenge is a green building certification program and sustainable design framework that visualizes the ideal for the built environment. The standard uses the metaphor of a flower, with seven performance areas called petals. To celebrate the launch of the Living Building at Georgia Tech, the Office of Campus Sustainability will host a series of seven events to explore each of the petals - place, water, energy, health + happiness, materials, equity, and beauty.
