Full Summary: Undergraduate students interested in studying abroad, who have financial need, or who want to study critical need languages are invited to come learn about scholarship opportunities to fund their time abroad.

Please join the Office of International Education for an information session on the Gilman Scholarship and the Boren Scholarship/Fellowship.

The Gilman International Scholarship Program offers grants of up to $5,000 to U.S. undergraduate students of high financial need participating in credit-bearing study abroad programs or international internships.  The Gilman Program aims to diversify the kinds of students who study and intern abroad and the countries and regions where they go by supporting U.S. undergraduates who might otherwise not consider these unique and valuable opportunities due to financial constraints. Furthermore, students studying a critical need language could be eligible to receive a grant of up to $8,000.

The Boren Scholarship & Fellowship enables students to study critical need languages for a semester or academic year. The session will cover scholarship requirements, eligibility, and what makes for a competitive application.
