Please join us for an informational talk by Dr. Suzanne Berger from MIT.
Title: New Frontiers of Globalization
Professor Bergerworks in comparative politics and in political economy. Her books include Peasants Against Politics; The French Political System: Dualism and Discontinuity in Industrial Societies(with Michael Piore);Organizing Interests in Western Europe(editor); National Diversity and Global Capitalism (with Ronald Dore); Made by Hong Kong(with Richard Lester). Her most recent book, How We Compete, presents the findings of a five-year-long study by MIT social scientists and engineers on the impact of globalization. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and has been awarded the Ordre National du Merite by the French Government. Professor Berger is the Director of the MIT International Science and Technology Initiative Program, a Research Associate and member of the Committee of the Center for European Studies at Harvard University. She served as Vice President of the American Political Science Association and as founding Chair of the Social Science Research Council Joint Committee on Western Europe. Her current research concerns the impact of globalization on domestic institutions.

The purpose of this program is to provide new and expert insights into the dynamic world of innovation and economic development under an ever more globalizing world.
