"Bodossaki Foundation Academic Prizes", awarded to scholars of greek descent, under the age of 40. For the year 2008, the Foundation has decided to award four prizes. of 22,000.00 EUR = 29,623.20 USD each, in the following academic fields: 1. Science: Mathematics. 2. Applied Science: Theories, Methods and Techniques, of Biomedical Applications of Informatics and Telecommunications. 3. Social-Economic Sciences: Economics/Political Economy. 4. Medicine and Biology: Targeted drug development.

The prizes will be awarded to persons of Greek nationality, parentage or decent. Only persons born after December 31, 1967 are eligible to apply. The selection of the prizewinners will be based on the exceptional achievements in their respective field.

Candidates may apply either in person or be nominated by Univesities, Institutions or individuals. The candidates' written consent is required. All candidates must submit to the Foundation four (4) copies of the following documents:

1. A declaration of candidacy, indicating the field.
2. A full curiculum vitae*
3. A written statement in wich the candidate describes his/her activities and achievements in relation to the field of his/her candidacy. A statement of their future scientific plans is also requested.
4. Reprints of their most important publications or scholarly works. (Maximum number of five (5) please).

The information requested should be sent to: The Bodossaki Foundation 23A, Vas. Sofias Avenue, 106 74 Athens, Greece.

The closing date for submission of applications for the awards in November 30, 2007. Candidates should request from at least three (3) individules, who are in a position to evaluate their work, to forward letters of recommendation directly to the Foundation, no latter that December 15, 2007.
