Students in the School of Economics are receiving numerous awards and honors this Spring. Joy Guan (ECON) received a PURA to complete research in "Modeling and Application of Swarm Theory to Economics." John Akin (EIA) received a Fullbright U.S. Student Grant. His assignment is teaching English in Indonesia for nine months. John will attend law school when he returns to the U.S.
At the Georgia Tech Student Honors Ceremony this month, Zach Aten (ECON) will receive the Ivan Allen College, Student Advisory Board, "Student Beyond Campus Award" for his participation in a variety of volunteer and internship activities that have taken him from Turkey to China. Al Enger (ECON and MGMT) will receive the "Mollie Newton Award" for contributing the most to academic and extracurricular activities in Economics. Dedra Casey (ECON) will receive the "Omicron Delta Epsilon Outstanding Senior Cup" for achieving the best overall academic record in Economics. We are proud of the achievements of our students and sincerely congratulate them on their outstanding accomplishments.
