Emergency Preparedness 101

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Instruction cover the basic emergency situations in a building on campus: fire, evacuation, who's who on campus, emergency notification, severe weather, mail handling procedures, after hours facilities issues, et cetera. Each participant would be provided with a copy of the campus emergency action plan, which would be discussed in detail. Participants would also receive a template and instruction on the Red Book for them to develop their own plan for their specific building.
