To stop cancer’s spread, break its ‘legs’

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. Futurity reprints the Georgia Tech news story on the new research led by Mostafa El-Sayed, Regents Professor and Julius Brown Chair in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry, on the use of gold nanorods and infrared lasers to stop cancer cells from spreading in controlled lab experiments.
