More than 150 donors, alumni, faculty, students, friends and colleagues of the Ivan Allen College attended its annual Founder's Day Celebration March 12 at the Georgian Ballroom at The Biltmore.
The Ivan Allen College recognized Helene D. Gayle, President and CEO of CARE as recipent of the Ivan Allen Jr. Award for Progress and Service.
Michael Best, Professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs was presented the Ivan Allen Jr. Legacy Award for a faculty member. The award recognizes an exceptional scholar and teacher and who has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to serving students, the College and Georgia Tech.
Ivan Allen Legacy Awards were also presented to alumnus Charlotte Wheeler (HTS 2002)) and Public Policy major Kristie Champlin.
Northview High School senior, Nicole Johnston, won the Ivan Allen Jr. Civil Responsibility High School Essay Contest.
