The School of Literature, Media and Communication in Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts will be honoring the memory of one of Georgia Tech’s first female faculty members through the naming of the Communications Center for Dr. Helen Naugle.
Three generations of the Naugle family have attended Georgia Tech. Thanks to the generosity of her family, the Communication Center, will be named for Naugle who taught English at Tech for many years. The naming event for the space will be held on Friday, August 11, at 3:30 pm, in Room 447 in the G. Wayne Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons.
Dr. Naugle inspired the founding of the Communications Center which teaches written, oral, visual, electronic, and nonverbal skills to members of the Georgia Tech community with a goal of ensuring greater success in both academics and the work world.
