Sustainability: A greener culture

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. They fly around the world presenting research and describing the impact of greenhouse gases and climate change on the planet. But what kind of carbon footprints are climatologists and other researchers leaving in their wake? This Nature article features interviews with several scientists – including  Kim Cobb, professor in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences – who are trying to practice what is preached when it comes to reducing emissions and boosting sustainability in their work and travels.
