There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Welcome to the new freshmen who will participate in the Late Short Summer Freshman Experience. We are excited for you all to move in on Tuesday, June 13, 2017!
Due to campus construction we are operating a staggered check-in process for Glenn so moving in the building will be smooth and efficient. It should result in shorter lines, availability of parking, and hopefully minimize wait times. We need your assistance in making that happen, so please plan to arrive at your floor’s scheduled time listed below:
Glenn Residence Hall is located at 118 Bobby Dodd Way, NW, Atlanta, GA 30332. We will have loading zones along Bobby Dodd Way and on Techwood Drive in front of the East Community Housing Office where you will pick up your room keys and check in. Be sure to bring a valid form of ID such as a driver’s license, passport, or state issued ID. You will not be able to check in without a picture ID. If you plan to arrive later than Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at noon, please notify the Central Housing Office by email to information@housing.gatech.edu or call 404.894.2470 and provide your gtID# and latest possible date of arrival.
The East Community Housing Office is a short walk along Bobby Dodd Way located in Field Residence Hall, 711 Techwood Drive, Atlanta, GA 30332. Here you will be able to check in, receive important information, and pick up your room keys. While students are receiving keys and information, we will have professional staff members available to answer any questions or concerns parents and family members may have. Once you get your keys, you can meet up with families in the lounge and begin moving into Glenn.
As soon as your belongings are in the room, you should move your vehicle from Glenn and park in Peters Parking Garage. We have secured the lower parking deck close by Glenn for long-term parking throughout Tuesday, so you can leave your car there and return to Glenn to unpack and get organized. This is critical so everyone can have ample parking and keep vehicles in a shaded and cool location while you are in Glenn or elsewhere on or off campus.
