The Atlanta Dream played the first of many games for the next two years at McCamish Pavilion this week. The WNBA team will play its 2017 and 2018 seasons on campus instead of Philips Arena, which has other scheduled event conflicts.

The Dream is co-owned by Mary Rockett Brock, who co-chaired Campaign Georgia Tech with husband John F. Brock, retired president and chief executive officer of Coca-Cola European Partners. The Brocks, also namesakes of the Mary R. and John F. Brock Football Practice Facility, attended the first game with Georgia Tech President G.P. “Bud” Peterson and first lady Val Peterson on May 21.

“We’re thrilled to highlight the Dream’s exciting style of play at Georgia Tech’s McCamish Pavilion, which is purpose-built for basketball and a tremendous fan experience,” Mary Rockett Brock said at the time of the team’s announcement.

The Dream’s next home game at McCamish will take place Saturday, May 27, at 6 p.m. against the Los Angeles Sparks. For a full schedule, visit dream.wnba.com.
