Harvard Law School’s Junior Deferral Program will accept application from undergraduate juniors at colleges and universities nationwide in the fall of 2017.
Started in 2014 and previously only open to Harvard College students, the deferral program allows students to apply to the Law School during their junior year of college on the condition that they defer enrollment for at least two years if accepted.
The deferral program is meant to encourage promising applicants to pursue important and fulfilling experiences prior to starting law school (bridge years) and to allay concerns about how a delayed application will appear to the admissions office.
