Summer in Atlanta brings high temperatures and humidity, which often drives people to indoor activity.

On campus, that makes it the perfect month to take part in a summer bowling league.

Tech Rec will again offer a faculty/staff bowling league for the month of June, and registration is now open.

Games will be held Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tech Rec in the Student Center. Registration is $60 for a team of four ($15 per person).

The league winner will be determined by the total number of points earned over the course of the four-week league. The winning team will earn a free bowling party for their office at Tech Rec (for up to 20 people and with five lanes).

The deadline to register is Thursday, May 25. For full rules and guidelines, and to register, visit techrec.gatech.edu.

For those who aren’t afraid to sweat through the summer, Health and Well-Being will again host summer wellness walks for faculty and staff members.

These beginner-friendly guided hikes are conducted at a leisurely pace and scheduled so participants can get up, get out, and get home before lunch. Each hike will cover approximately three to five miles.

All hikes are $10 and take place on Saturday mornings, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and ending around 11:30 a.m.
