Go T.E.C.H. is hosting the eighth annual Health & Well-Being Fair on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. All faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the Health Fair free of charge.
The Health & Well-Being Fair will take place in both the Campus Recreation Complex (CRC) from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Visit the main floor of the CRC for vendor tabling, free samples, health screenings, fitness demonstrations, and more.
Vendors from on campus as well as the Atlanta area will be present to provide information regarding their programs and services. Confirmed vendors include Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, DePoe Eye Center, Good Measure Meals, Kaiser Permanente, Office of Human Resources, Sherwood Chiropractic Center, Tech Dentistry, and more.
Health screenings will be available from 9:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. in CRC Room 240. These screenings help detect health issues such as heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, and assess the function of vital organs. Fees vary based on the type of screening selected.
The Health Fair & Well-Being was created to provide health and wellness information to the Georgia Tech community during National Employee Health & Fitness (NEHF) Month, which is held in May each year. Administered annually by the National Association for Health & Fitness, NEHF is a national health observance, created to prmotoe the benefits of physical activity for individuals through their work site health promotion activities
