Jasper Narvil, an undergraduate Economics and International Affairs (EIA) student in the Ivan Allen College, was part of a team that placed second in the 2017 Ideas to Serve Competition (I2S).

The I2S competition, which is organized by the Scheller College of Business, offers students an opportunity to devise creative, imaginative, and technology-centered solutions to social and environmental problems. Students are encouraged to focus on the “triple bottom line,” showing concern for social and environmental outcomes as well as economic return on investment.

Narvil’s project, “Conduit,” is an app that will help pair young volunteers with nonprofit organizations. He created “Conduit” with engineering students Paul Jones and Faith Walker and business student Carolyn Nelson.

As runner-up in the “Ideas” track of the competition, Narvil’s team was awarded a $2,500 prize.
